- Initial Washes: Wash separately. Hand-printed items may release excess dye during the first few washes.
- Machine Wash: Cold, gentle cycle. Use a laundry net to prevent fraying (note: traditional Tenugui edges are intentionally left unfinished to dry faster and remain hygienic).
- Detergent: Use a mild, neutral detergent. Do not use bleach or optical brighteners.
- Drying: Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry in the shade. The unfinished edges will fray slightly at first; simply trim the loose threads with scissors.
- Ironing: Use a medium setting if a crisp look is desired.
